Cutting panels objects (split)

Hello,

In the model attached, I'm trying to cut the panels by a XY plane with Z=0. Model 01 is original and model 02 after cutting. I'm using "Cut by plane..." command.

As you can see the result is not the one expected. The resultant panels have been modified. Can anyone please explain what I'm doing wrong?

Thank you, regards,

sanjuan100

Download, unzip this addin, run it and convert panels to standard ones, then Cut them

Thanks Rafal,

I'm in the process of doing this but will it work for panel created using revolve?

And does it keep the loads? It says it doesn't but just checking, it's the most important work in my case.

Thanks,

"Note: The Cut by Plane tool does not work with solids, and objects created with the Extrude, or Revolve commands."

And does it keep the loads?

As far as I can see - yes. But always check.

Of course not on your model - after converting panels all loads are lost.
