Connections of joints (steel)

Good afternoon,

I'm using Robot Strctural 2013 and I have a question. I first calculated the connections in a frame desing 2D. Then I copy all information from bars and steel to a 3D frame desing. But I couldn't copy the connections of joints (beam-column; beam-beam, and column base). There is a easy way to coy, to put the information obtained from 2D to 3D without making connections again?

Thank you

Maria Silva

P.s. I' sorry for my english but it isn't my native language

What do you mean by "copy"?
Just change structure type : Geometry \ Structure Type and select the new one

They are to diferent files. One I used to dimension a frame without all
extra bars, just try to simplified. And the other is in 3D with all
informatin, this is the the full structure with all bars, beams, columns
etc. Do you know what I mean? I calculated the connectins in 2D before
doing 3D shell design.

I see.
Try this:
- from connection definition window save it as *.rxd file in 2D file
- on 3D model, create such connection then open this rxd file in connection definition window
