Mr Robot,
I have analysed a 3D concrete frame and am now looking for Robot to do some design for me and have a couple of questions:
1. Do you need to tell Robot tell Robot to connect different beams together? I thought it did it automatically, but this printout (from the punching design) seems to show differently!
2. I’ve also put in beams to reduce the deflection, but do you have to specify them as downstand beams? I’m playing around with different beam depths and it looks like the beams just go into the middle of the slab. I have actually told Robot to use the slab to makes the beams Ts but not sure if it’s working or not.
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Thanks

1. I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. For static analysis beams (bar elements) are connected in nodes. For RC Beam design module the beam geometry is based on the selection of bars in the model.
