Hello,
I'm trying to model concrete flat slab and compare the results to results from different software. I fallowed all guidance I could find but it looks like I'm doing something wrong and my deflections are WAY to big. Can you please help? Where do I start?
Have you seen any errrors or warnings during calculation and design?
PLease upload the model.
Wild guess: you imported some dxf/dwg having Robot units set as meters whereas the dxf/dwg was defined in mm. If I'm right rescale the structure in Robot with m/mm ratio.
Apart from couple of isolated nodes which I ignored for now - nothing, no errors.
It's a very good guess! I did use dxf and it's in mm. I've checked units in Robot and It's set m. Can you please tell me how do I rescale the whole slab in Robot to mm? Thank you very much for your quick response, really appreciated.
Thanks, now that it's rescaled, the panel and mesh are gone from the model. When I try to regenerate the mesh nothing is happening...
Set 3D view. RMB -> Zoom all. Set size of mesh that corresponds to the size of the slab.
I've got the mesh, but just noticed that my columns/supports are 'in wrong direction' ? Not along Z axis but X? Can you please have a look? Thank you.
What is the structure type (plate or shell)? What is the definition of the support (UX blocked)?
1. Select all supported nodes
2. Define a new support label
3. Assign it to the selected nodes
If this does not help attach the rtd file please.
I tried defining new label - Column 2, but it looks the same. How do I send the RTD please?
1. Save under a new name selecting without result file type
2. Compress file
3. Attach to the post
My assumption is that somebody converted what was originally a shell model into a plate one. Try the following:
1. Change the structure type to the shell (Geometry > Structure type)
2. Open the Column_2 support label and press the Direction button
3. Change beta rotation angle from 270 to 0. Rewrite the original definition of the support label.
4. Change model back to the plate one.
