Change Finite elements colors

Hi,
My name is Rodrigo. I'm developing a tool to analyze slab in shell finite element based in Baumann method through Robot Structural Analysis. To finalize my tool, I need to change the color of the finite elements according a fixed legend, but I didn't find a way to do this by API. The colors legend will show the reinforcement necessary in each element. Is this possible?

There is no option for assigning colors to surface elements. The workaround I can think of is to create panels with different thicknesses based on selection of surface elements in such a way that the thickness corresponds to particular value of reinforcement (you can name the thickness as values of area of reinforcement).
