Buckling analysis and non-linearity

Hello

I would like to ask you some questions:

.When doing a buckling analysis of a shell structure, when does the analysis stops? Is it on the first bifurcation point?

.Does Robot offers a non-linear material analysis?

Thank you!

1. Send us file.

2. Only this range for steel sections:

Well, the first one isn't really necessary - I tried do a mesh refinement (as Schmidt recomends on his paper "Stability of steel shell structures") and he was right - often, the buckling eigenmode is overestimated and it can only be assessed by doing a mesh refinement, or it will simply give you nonsense (like it was giving to me).

Well, that's too bad 😞 I'm currently doing a stability check via EC3-1-6 and the state-of-the-art is to run a Geometrical AND material non-linear analysis.. guess I'll just have to do other types of analysis 🙂

Thank you!
