I have a number of similar bar models, running a time-history analysis: They have the same nodes, elements etc. I am changing the input motion and outputting the accelerations from specific nodes from the 'Time-history Analyis - Tables' table.
Is there a way to automatically output nodal results to a txt file? Either through Robot or directly from the output file? I am looking at automating the process to save time and reduce the chance of me copying the data for the wrong node. I currently copy and paste from the Time-history Analysis - table.
The different time-histories are run on different models due to limit the output file size
Thank you for your help.

Write API macro doing that (many examples you can find in this forum writing in search field API ; example :
http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Robot-Structural/Export-results-ARSA-via-API/m-p/3294083/high...) or save table(s) as xls file or copy table contetns by clipboard.
I am attaching example macro dumping THA results to Excell file.
It runs for all THA cases in model, for nodes selection made in Robot.
Rafel,
Thank you with your help with this.
Apologies for my lack of knowledge of the API functions.
Is it possible to add a function at the end of the script to close ROBOT?
I am looking into setting up a script to open all ROBOT files in a folder and dump the THA results to a spreadsheet.
Also, are there any guidance documents on the API functions? They could save us a huge amount of time when setting up and running models.

Stuart
