Hi
I have a problem with a building model, during calculation the Attribute assigning takes a lot of time (approximately 1 hour).
Approximately 70% of the calculation time is Attribute assigning, usually on other models it is only a small procentage of the time. I have a lot of panels in the model, and linear releases on most edges.
What can be wrong in the model ?
Best regards
Mikkel Bramsen
Hint: mesh model, freeze panel
Then only 23 minutes
It is related to number of linear releases - without them on your model - model generation takes 2min
I will let developers know about that. Thank you for reporting.
Assume you mean freeze mesh, already using that, but probably have a slower computer.
A solution for faster linear releases will be appreciated for prefab element based concrete structures.
Could a very low Ig reduction factor on panels be used instead of RX linear releases on edges? For walls (or do you have a better solution)?
Thanks, Mikkel
Hello,
Was this problem related to ROBOT or the model file?
I have the same problem: Attribute assigning (Panels and Solids) takes long time to complete. Other steps are OK.
I'm looking at resource monitor during calculations, it shows that Robot.exe becomes 'Not responding' brifly few times during the Attribute assigning (Panels and Solids) step.
Not sure where to look...
Running ROBOT Pro 2014 SP4 on Win7 x64.
Thank you.
Hey,
I'm having the same problem as DaveLinton5337,

It also shows that Robot.exe becomes 'Not responding' during the Attribute assigning (Panels and Solids) step and these file is not even as heavy as ones i run before (and can also run now!). When the calculation is complete, the messages are:
Linear load has not been applied to a panel.
Duplicated load case label.
I'm using Robot 16 on windows 10 (asus N552VX).
I've already gone to the link (http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/robot-structural-analysis/long-calculation-time-reordering/m-p/4462727... but i can't solve this problem.
Can u help me?
I'll attach file if u want to check it.
Thank U,

Wait for what RSA2017 or REACT?
