In some cases robot API does not work correctly on Windows 8.1. It can be easily checked - Excel macros doesn't work.
In VBA editor two lines of the code
Dim RobApp As RobotApplication Set RobApp = New RobotApplication
gives:
It has been found that in some cases everything is ok. Seems It depends on the installation order.
issue with VBA exist:
Windows 8 - Windows 8.1 - Robot
issue with VBA not exist:
Windows 8 - Robot - Windows 8.1
format C - Windows 8.1 - Robot 2015

Seems the problem can be with the Oracle VirtualBox - if this software installed I have this issue with VBA.
