void extrusion to a ramp

is there a way of creating a void extrusion through a ramp.
i can perform this operation no problem to a flat slab but it doesn't seem to want to allow the use of the cut geometry tool on a ramped slab. i tried using the shaft opening thinking this may work but it doesn't.
thanks for any help

Are you using a:
-ramp (similar to the stair tool)
-"Shape edited" slab (modifying the slab using grips)
or a
-slab sloped using the "slope arrow" in the sketch.

the ramp command under the architect tools.

not familiar with the slab edited by grips or is this where
you specify the slab as being variable in the elements properties and then using the modify sub elements ie the z coordinates. this is ok for slabs with a flat soffit but as far as i'm aware you can't alter the slab soffit to falls in this way.
thanks,
pete
