"Transparent" walls are hiding columns in walls

This has been an issue for us for a while.  It seamed that in 2012 the issue was fixed.  Now in 2013 the issue is back.  "Transparent" walls are not...and are hiding structural posts embedded in the wall.  The walls are set to 40% transparent, so that the wood posts that are embedded in the wall will show through.  The issue appears to be that walls created after the posts, get drawn last.  Thus the light hatch coveres up everything below, even though the wall was supposed to be transparent.  The most frusturating thing is that it looks correct on the screen, but prints wrong.  This is a major issue as hiding structual columns in a wall could lead to a column not being installed...with obvious structural rammifications.  The plan view is even set to wire frame, so that in reality, every thing should be transparent.  The Transparent solid hatch looks terrible and is not an option as it's looks more like a cross hatch.  We have tried going back and forth between vector printing vs raster...no good.  Tried hardware excelleration on and off...no difference.  Cutting and pasting the posts back to the same place deletes the column tags associated with the columns...not an option.  Any other ideas out there?  I was under the impression that autodesk used the same code to print that is used to paint the screen which should make those issues non-existant.

Here's where it gets wierd, try printing sheet S.4.  The post is visible on the screen, but disapears when printed.

Have you applied the latest hotfix?  It specifically addresses "vector print output of transparent elements".

Just applied the hot fix and ...... nothing.  Didn't fix the issue.  Post on page S.4 still won't print, even though it displays on the screen.
