linking files which level

What is the best practise when linking a cad file or a revit model

Should I create a new level especially for the linked file ie Link level and make it the lowest level

or should I just link it in Level 1

Thanks

Link files to the appropriate floor level. IE: a second floor plan should be linked to level 2. Also, I recommend creating reference planes at a common corner of a building to line up floor plans vertically.

Hi,

Linked your Cad file floor wise in every revit floor. For 1st floor linked 1st floor .DWG file.

For Revit linked file you should linked a file "origin to origin" option. Here you need not linked it floor wise. You can linked it in 3D view also.

Thanks & regards,
