linked revit model error

When I try to link the client's model I get the following error:

“Can't load Linked File  due to errors. Open it separately to investigate the problem.”

I opened it separately to investigate the problem and couldn’t find any.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

I have been having the same difficulties and have not been able to fix it.

I have linked a CAD file to the attached recent.ly and thought it could be the CAD file causing the issue but after deleting the CAD the file has not been allow to be linked back.

I would really appretiate if someone can help with it.

Thanks

bcampbell,

I have actually found out the issue. the file you are trying to link (the client's) have been synced with a CAD file, but for some reason the revit model is identifying the CAD file when opening the client's model but when linking the model to a different one it generates the error.

In order to solve it you will need to identify the CAD file interfering with the load and then remove it from the client's model. These should be enough to be able to link the client's model back to yours.

Hope these help.
