we have a revit file we are working on and we have a linked revit model in it, the question/problems is when we bind in the linked file it binds just fine but it renames the beams for some reason. I.E. if we have a w12X24 in the actual model and the linked model has the same instead of it just keeping the name it renames it to w12X24 2. why is this and is there a way around it? it seems that if it sees the beam and it is named the sasme it should keep it the same. please help because it gets real tirinf having to rename all the beams back to the right name.
