Transfer Revision Settings

I have 2 projects files open and I'm trying to get all of the revision dates and titles from one to the other.  In the destination project, I'm using the "Transfer Project Standards" tool and selecting the Revision Settings, but none of the revisions from the source project appear.  Has anyone had this happen before?

Hi Kirby,

This is a known issue that our development team is currently investigating. For the time being, you will have to repopulate the Revision settings manually.

I am sorry for the trouble that this causes to your workflow. If you have any additional questions about the behavior please do not hesitate to send a reply.

I know this is an old thread, but the problem still exists in Revit 2014. Any progress towards a fix?

Autodesk,

Now that more design teams are working on the cloud this is even more important.  Any ETA on when this will be addressed?

March 25 2019, This problem still exists.  Why is this a feature in the program if it does not function?  Has anyone figured a work around?

Get pyRevit and you can transfer Revisions from one project to others.

Hi Kirby,

I know that we have developed a solution to this issue before. I recently had to implement this exact solution on a new dataset that I was creating, since transfer project standards will not accomplish this task. Here is some info on that:

https://ideatesoftware.com/support/help/ideate-bimlink/how-to/leverage-linked-file-data

Other possible solutions is that you could look into a Dynamo graph. My guess is that you will want to do some testing and possible modification to make it work but it could help you accomplish that task.

I believe other posters in this thread have offered some solutions as well. The good news is that there is a solution to this issue, which is really awesome.

Let me know if I can help.

Sash
