I noticed that when I hit the column tool and go to start placing columns, the graphics of the column shape do not appear until I actually click. However, if I think click on that column and hit "create similar" the column graphics do appear. I also tried doing this and then changing the column type before placing, but the graphics disappear again. Why is this happening? We need to be able to see the column while placing it to verify the correct shape and orientation are being used.
Hi,
Please let me know what version of RST you are using.
I was not able to reproduce the issue you are describing in 2012.
If this is not the issue please reply with an image, or the steps I could follow to reproduce it.
Have you checked on the graphic card? Maybe update the driver?
Revit Structure 2012 - 64 Bit Windows 7.
I played with it a little more this morning, and I'm getting inconsistent results. Sometimes the column at my mouse appears after I place one instance. Usually, it will disappear if I change column types while still in the column tool. Zooming in/out doesn't make a difference.
