Sloped Column

does anybody know how to create a sloped Wide Flange Column and have the analytic soped as well?

I don't know if this would work haven't tried it, but when we need to model a sloping column we will put it in using brace

That exactly what are Revit distrubitor said to us. the only thing is that it will not show up on Column schedule by revit. So you have to create a column family and cheat by making it 1" tall.

Sorry that won't work, but i heard in 2010 there is going to be the ability to slope a true column

We are experimenting with that right now and have seen it work from our distributor. This will do for know i guess and hope a true Sloped Column will become available in 2010.

anyway there is a method of creating a slope column but the problem was when exported to Robot struc. Analysis the analytical model was not sloping it became straight
