Render in Structure 2012

Hi, I know structure is not the preferred means for rendering, but I'm just trying to create a simple structural system rendering.

is there a tutorial geared towards RST or does anyone have any tips and tricks?

Also looking for lighting families, does it come with RST 2012?

many thanks

Joe

Have you tried going through a Revit Architecture rendering tutorial and found that Revit Structure was missing features described in the tutorial?

I did find the following help topic that seems to exclude Revit Structure for the optional step 4:

Yes, I did try the tutorials, but they all mention lighting.

Can I assume rendering in RST is possible but impractical without lighting?

thanks

I am not seeing many lighting families included with the structure library, but I did test loading some floor lights from the Revit Architecture library into a Revit Structure project, and the lights seem to render fine.

Note: You need to adjust the Visibility/Graphic Overrides on the views so that Lighting Fixtures are not hidden (after showing categories from all disciplines).

You can download the 2011 Revit Architecture library content from the following link:

You can find more families on our Seek website:

http://seek.autodesk.com/

If you are not rendering interior views, you can also render using the sun for lighting.
