Question about link autocad dwg with great extents

I tried to link an autocad dwg into revit 2014, but computer is always show the message------>

" Geometry in the file S101.dwg has extents greater than 20miles(33km). This may reduce reliablity and result in undesirable graphic behavior. Click OK to continue, Cancel to exit import."

it seems S101.dwg has something wrong, does anyone know how to handle this issue?

Thanks for your time.

Jason

Hi,

Generally, Revit can't import CAD files larger than these dimensions, or if the geometry in the file is located more than 33km from the 0,0,0 origin in CAD.
I would suggest that you copy the cad file. take note of coordinates of a specific point.
Cut the geometry in CAD and paste it into a new file close to origin.
In Revit, link centre - centre and move to correct coordinates, or if you are using this file as a survey, then link centre-centre and specify coordinates at the point you've noted earlier.

If the problem still persist, explode all blocks in CAD before cutting and pasting into a new file.
