OLE object into Revit.

Hi, I wanted to know if it is possible to insert an OLE object into Revit. thanks

At this time, it is not possible to insert OLE objects directly into Revit. If you need to insert a Word or Excel document, you can insert it into a .dwg, then link that dwg.

 

We understand that this may not be the preferred workflow, but this issue is already logged with our Development group.

I tried linking an AutoCAD file containing an Excel sheet.  Revit strips the OLE object every time.  Is there a setting that I'm missing?

Yeah, being able to insert pdf's would be really handy too. The other issue with linking in a document through ACAD is that Revit wants to reformat the text in a linked (not inserted) autocad drawing. That just completely baffled us that Revit would reformat text in a general notes sheet that was linked.
