In the reinforcement detailing given in the attached image the type of reinforcements, their shapes and details for placing them into the column are provided. In the sectional view of the column (shown in the bottom-left corner) it is shown that there are 20 Y20 and 20 Y16 type reinforcements provided perpendicular to the view-surface. Just above the sectional view, the reinforcements parallel to the surface are shown individually (and a bit shifted from their original position) for better clarity. This representation needs to be read from left to right. Hence, the left most reinforcement (the square one) is provided first and then after a spacing of 100 mm the three rectangular reinforcements (shown by shifting them upward) are provided. Please note that these three reinforcements are not connected to each other but lie on the same plane inside the same column. Again after providing a spacing of 200 mm the three reinforcements (shown by shifting them to the right) are provided and the whole sequence is repeated after giving a spacing of 100 mm.
Can we generate the reinforcement into the column in the above mentioned situation with the help of Revit extension manager.
Sorry for the time it took us to research your requests. Here are some answers:
1) Longitudinal bars: You can’t show different cross-sections representations for bars (open/half filled). As an alternative, you can use filters to change the lineweight or colors to indicate different bar sizes/types.
2) The diagram above the section: this cannot be created automatically using standard Revit tools. However, you may be able to create an API app to create it from the information of the column’s reinforcement.
3) We are doing some researching but we are fairly certain that you cannot create two different kinds of longitudinal reinforcement (different at the corners than the middle of the face) using the Column Reinforcement Extension.
4) Using the Column Reinforcement Extension it is possible to create the stirrups. However, all of the stirrups are created adjacent to each other- they cannot be spaced apart.
