Hi,

the mapping database is like a translation for the profile names between Advance and Revit.

The profile names and the material names need to be mapped, that Revit can evaluate /use the correct profile or material

comming from Advance (and vice versa).

The Advance Steel profiles are stored in a database (all profiels are available in new project by default).

Revit use the families to define the profile sections and not all families are loaded by default (depending on the template).

If a unknown profile is imported then the follwing dialog appear on the screen. You can load the family and select the matching profile.
