Delete Opening family from project

We can't delete opening family which is placed in the floor in our project. The Error message shownn as "There is a circular chain of references among the highlighted elements." We have attached a sanp for reference. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Thanks & Regards

a) manage/ warnings. Any specific errors?
b) workaround: split slab around object (use edit slab) remove piece of slab&object, remove hole.

Can you expand the dialog and see which elements are referenced?

Is the opening sketch-based?  Are there any constraints between the opening element and other elements or its host? (either inside or outside the sketch)

We need more information to help you.

The opening is a revit family. We have tried all sorts of thing to edit the slab or to remove the opening, but every time we are trying to do anything with the slab or the opening, the same error message is appearing. The opening is in a chain relation with another slab and we could not found any link with the opening and that slab.

Please suggest in this issue.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by "The opening is in a chain relation with another slab".  If you could give us the text of the expanded warning dialog, maybe that would help.

If you expand the warning dialog, you should see element ID's of the elements that are referenced.

Select each element by ID, one by one.  Delete it, then see if you can delete the opening you want to delete.

Once you figure out which element is the problem, undo back to the beginning.  Select the problem element, and instead of deleting it, use Control-X to cut it.

Delete the opening.  Paste the element you had to temporarily remove back into place.

It’s also possible that there are some constraint elements causing this that you can delete and not have to remove any model geometry.

If all else fails, you can post a copy of your project somewhere so I can look at it (A360 or Dropbox, for example).  You could also open up a support request and have a support specialist look at the model.
