how do you add an architects border to your project or do we have to use the sheets that revit provides

Is the Architect on Revit, or on Autocad? If they are in Revit, they should be able to provide the family for their titleblock, which when loaded into your project will make it abailbale to start sheets on.

some are in autocad, others are in revit, which i assume i can just add to the library right? but lets talk about the ones in autocad first please

You'll have issues linking the entire AutoCAD sheet. Revit will bring in either Paper space, or model space, but not both together. Everyone just creates dummy sheets for the Cover Sheet. You could link each of the model views into Drafting views, and them arrange those on sheets, to better manage them.
