Hi everyone,
I am a newbie in Revit MEP, and have an issue that i can not solve.
I realized that while Revit calculating heating load in radiators or fan coils, Revit takes it flow rate as l/s and shows these values in pipe tag as l/s. In project, i would like to see WATT instead of l/s on pipe plans.
First, i tried to formulize it in families. However, i was not succesful due to unit inconsistency. I send you two pictures regarding my issue.
Please give me some clues or your solutions.
Best regards.
Dear ajax05k,
Thanks for information. I think i have to explain it more detailed.
Consider that heating regime in system is 90/60°C. And i have a flow rate as l/s. Thus, why cannot i see heating load in pipe as Watt?
i know water density and Cp also.
Q (Watt) = m (kg/second). Cp ( Joule/kg.Kelvin) Delta T ( Kelvin)
And of all, joule/second equels Watt
Best regards.
I will answer as Ajax obviously don't want to understand…
You unfortunately cannot add formulas on pipes. So you cannot add a new parameter which calculate power related to the flow, heating capacity, massic volume and temperature difference between input and output. So you cannot automatically display a power with a tag on a pipe.
Well, it is a bit late but actually you can show the watt values in tags. All you need to do is write the formula you mentioned into the tag family and it will convert the l/s value to watt.
