revit 2012 crash

I have had problems with Revit 2012 frequently crashing when manipulating sections

With the section view open, I can move the scope box with no problems, however, when I try to move the section itself, Revit often crashes. I found that closing the view, moving the section line then re-opening the view works without problem.

Has anybody else had this problem?

I haven't had this problem, but try toggling "Use Hardware Acceleration" under Options > Graphics. Also, verify that your graphics card is on "the list"; >this link< might be helpful.
