instance model text

Is the a way to have a generic family which has an instance property type "text" come out as a model text (visible in 3D) so that I can write different things on different instances of the generic model so that it can be visible in 3D on the object, and changable after the model has been placed? I think you can, I just forgot how...?

Yep. You can ties the contents of the Model Text to the value of a Parameter (Text/Instance) by selecting the Model Text and clicking the small gray button on the right side under Properties.

Attached in an example Family. (Revit 2013)
