i have created a virtual network, connecting computers, monitors,switches and servers in revit mep 2009
i am trying to record the mac address and service tag of the computers
so when a computer is moved to a different circuit
ie: comp A (mac address 12-34-56-78-90, service tag ABCDEFG) on switch 2a/port12
comp A (mac address 12-34-56-78-90, service tag ABCDEFG) on switch 3b/port6
when this computer is moved in the office the static mac and serv tag record when connected to a different circuit
it will record and update accordingly.
parameters are shared and instance for computer tower with multiple types of towers
right now it is a time consuming task in data entry
how can i create a parameter in the family to recognise the connections to the circuit?
