What is the difference?

What is the difference between these two? Look at the image, one link - but you can overeride twice on the same link. It is hard to articulate but look at the image. This is nothing urgent just something I have wondered for a bit. Thanks.

Some time ago, I made a post that I *believe* explains this relatively clearly in a thread titled: A little help Host View vs Linked View.
