Status Bar & properties disappearing

Team

I am working on a new project & I am having a new issue. While I am working all of a sudden my drawing is basically locked & when I click on a command it starts turning black & disappearing as well as my properties & project browser. It is easily fixed by closing the view & opening a new one but it seems to be happening with more frequency. I tried doing a screenshot but when I do it goes back to normal. Has anyone else run into this?

What version of Revit are you running?

Are any other users experiencing this?

Are you only experiencing this on that specific project?

Cad,

#1 2014, we just upgraded for this project.

#2 No, I am the only one.

 #3 Yes, so far.

  •  I have purged, compacted & deleted everything I could to make these files as small as possible for speed, (I have had issues before) & although I would like it faster this project has been OK. The Arch file is 133,008 KBs, MEP file is 75,868 KBs & the structural 29,480.

Have you tried toggling 'Hardware Acceleration' under Options?

I had it off for speed but I just put it on, I will keep you up to speed! No pun intended.

Cadastrophe,

REVIT is a fickle system! I put the "hardware acceleration" on & now the machine is running better (Hopefully for good) & I have more speed! Must be an upgrade for 2014, In 2012 I had to shut off "hardware acceleration" to get the machine to run faster.

 Thanks again as always
