Spaces and Linked Models

I am creating a multi user environment.  I am planning on creating a new model for each discipline (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc) and then linking in the architectural and structural model into each one of the secondary models.

Will the other Disciplines be able to use the Spaces in the linked file for analyasis?  i.e.   Heat and Cooling, Load Studies etc?

Thanks

You should be able to schedule the information from the linked file

Thanks for your reply.

Second question, does it make more sense to create the spaces in the Architectural Model, which is linked into the other discipline models?

.....OR

Does it make more sense to allow each of the other disciplines to creat spaces in their individual models?

How about creating an analysis model which is then linked to you MEP models? That way you have one source of information rather than three sources with potentially differing values and you keeep the mech loads and elec loads together, etc?

As for using the Arch model - possibly but it would be a copy that is then "cleaned" to fix the errors Architect's usually build into their models and you can set the room bounding elements correctly, etc. This "Analysis" link model would be quite differnt from the original Arch model as it has a different purpose and woud be more export friendly for gbXML, IFC, etc
