Revit MEP Training (Under 21)

Hi, I just recently started working for an engineering company that would like to make the move to Revit MEP. I've been put in charge of this change and have taken a basic AutoCad Revit MEP Training Course, However after a month on job, I feel I've reached the point where I could really use some more training. Specifically on Family Creation, but also just in general. The Manuals and Tutorials really don't show much in the MEP area, and focus largely on Architecture.

I would love to attend Autodesk University, however I noticed that it is only open to those 21 Years and older, so at age 20, I am not allowed to attend this training event.

Does anyone know of any other training that is available for me to take. From everything i had heard, AutoDesk university was the best thing around...

Thanks, Alex

There are plenty of AUGI seminars to get some training/information. As far as AU i think its only 21 because its in Vegas. I havent been to any of the others so i'm not sure.

Thanks for the reply J.,
Yeah thats what I had figured for AU. I've looked into AUGI Seminars, but very few are covering Revit MEP, and didn't see any past a basics course within the next several months. I guess theres just not much training out there for R.MEP yet.

Hi Alex,

Have you tried the tutorials here?

These do step you thru some `part creation' for MEP.

Thanks for the reply se7en, I have all the AutoDesk Revit tutorial books, but have not tried the one you linked me to online. I'm downloading right now and will see if it's different from the books and has got something I can use.

Thanks

No problem at all (Thank Autodesk; they wrote 'em *grin*).

I haven't had time to delve into them as much as I want, I have far to
many other things on my plate at the moment but from what ive read,
they appear to answer several of my major questions/areas of
confusion so that made me happier.

Tell me how you think they look/help?

From my initial review of them one area which is lacking is the lookup
tables. I wanted to get more information on the lookup tables and how
I can get my parameters dynamic-ish but the area on lookup tables
seems...small. Im sure I will have to do my own research cause I
seriously doubt that anyone will flip da bill for me to attend A.U.
(which is often the case for me.) but im used to that -- Besides, me
attending such an event, I would prolly get kicked out of classes for
raising to much of a stink *lol*-.

Hi,
Not sure where you are located but i have found a small business on Long Island,NY craigslist that will travel to your office and give training. They charge per hour and per size of the group but hopefully you company will pick up the bill as my company did.Extremely helpful and Friendly people. Also they Specialize in all revit programs not just MEP, check it out if your in the area.
