Pendant Light Vertical and 2d representation.

I can't seem to place a Pendant Light Vertical on a sloped Ceiling.

The Help File says:
  1. In the Family Editor, click Settings menuFamily Category and Parameters.
  2. Select the check box to enable the Always Vertical parameter.
  3. Click OK.

There is no such check box using OOTB Pendant Fixture.

Also because the fixture is slanted. It shows up as a 3d blob on my Reflected Ceiling Plan.

The same issus happens with 2x4 fixtures, that don't show the correct 2d representation when the fixture is not horizontal.

---------------------

Also How do I place a fixture in a Room that doesn't have a defined Ceiling. For Areas such as a stairs, the lights just hang from the roof.

I get a "Don't" symbol when I try to place them.

is there a way to Place a Fixture at a height: 8 feet.

-------------------------

Any Help Would be appreciated

i can help with the "blob". thats the light source. to hide that type VG or VV, expand Lighting Fixtures, uncheck light source.

i cant really help you on the rest. we typically make all our fixtures non-hosted because of problems like these.

The setting for "always vertical" only exists in hosted families. This setting appears to not be available for Face Based families.

Thanks, that's something Subscription Tech Support doesn't know.

So far MEP is missing.
1. Access to Ceiling
2. Conduits
3. Cable Trays
4. Site Plan Tools. (Why are they only in ARCH)
5. Any method to determine if a fixture is attached to it's hosted surface.
6. Automatic Placement of Spaces
7. Control of levels of halftone.
8. Printing in the numeric order of the sheets. (oh please fix this)
9. AB Light Switching. (Why would anyone want to do this?)
10. Printer Plot settings.

This of course is a short list.
