I work for a Mechanical Engineer and we are Just starting our first Revit MEP Project. I have an .rvt file from an Architect. Inside this file are six buildings situated on a campus.
How do I get each building in its own "view" to work on it?
I'm afraid you have not provided enough info to adequately trouble-shoot this.If the Architect has all six buildings in one file, you have a tougher time with this. If he has linked them into another file, then he needs to send you the individual files.
You can use custom visibility graphics for the link to see individual plan views for that file if all are in one file.
What I had to do was make set up worksets, one for each building, then make six copies of the site plan then use the croping tool to crop out all the building but the one associated with the workset.
