Look-Up Table Function within an If Statement...

is it possible to use the size_lookup function (a lookup table) within an IF statement?

So the lookup table would only be used if certain criteria is met.

They are wanting to do this in a Duct Accessory (damper) family.

I was asked this question... i would think it could be done... but not sure.

What are your thoughts?

Yep. "size_lookup" is just like any other function with arguments. You can set the entire function as an argument to another function...

example:

If(1=1, size_lookup(LookupTableName, LookupColumn, DefaultIfNotFound, LookupValue1, LookupValue2, ..., LookupValueN), 0')

...or you can use other conditional statements within its arguments.

example:

size_lookup(LookupTableName, if(1=1, LookupColumn1, LookupColumn2), DefaultIfNotFound, LookupValue1, LookupValue2, ..., LookupValueN)
