Lines in floor plan views?

Is there any way to draw lines in (mechanical) floor plan views and have them show up dark? Whenever I draw a line or detail line, it shows up half-tone. I'm trying to draw arc lines to symbolize which thermostat is controlling which piece of equipment.

I have been trying to draw lines for match lines and I'm seeing the same
thing. I would like to find a solution also.

You can draw detail lines to accomplish this in Systems, but there are a few things you have to do first.

First, you need to make sure you have a darker line style created, this can be done in the Settings>Linestyles menu. You can create new or change existing linestyles to suite your needs.

Second, I had a problem with the Disciplines of the views. If the discipline was set to "Mechanical" I could not edit or print any of the detail lines I drew. I was able to work around this by setting the discipline to "Coordination". That allowed me to edit the lines and plot them as well.

Hope that helps some.

So it sounds like it's not possible to draw "dark" lines in floor plan views unless they are set to Architectural or Coordination.

Margaret,

I ended up drawing my match lines in the sheet views because the lines will show up dark there.

Jayspot,

Did you have the view set to "Mech"? When I draw them in the sheet view they
half-tone. (lines or detail lines) Any ideas?

Margaret,

I just created a thick line style called "Matchline" and then drew a detail line in a sheet view. Sheet views don't have disciplines but my floor plans are set to Mechanical

Hey Jayspot,

Thank you for the info. I did place them in the sheets and they did appear
to be dark except when I printed they are grey. So is the sheet title. Any
ideas?
