K coefficient table for pipe fittings.

Hi.

Question:

Where can I get the values for "Regular 45, 90 and 180 Elbow"?

Details:

We are in the process of checking the piping calculations.

The test systems consists of a mechanical equipment, 2 pipes and an elbow.

The results for the pressure loss is different.

The pressure drop for pipes is matching so the problem lies with the elbow (M_Elbow - Generic: Standard)

I checked values in 2009 ASHRAE Handbook. I would like to know which exact table the above mentioned family is using.

Thanks 🙂

Additional information:

Here there is an xml file with the data.

I double checked and the calculations are OK.

Now, is there any official place where we can get this information?

Hi A3D.Razvan,

Checking with development, the source for the Pipe K Factor tables does not come from ASHRAE, rather it comes from Engineering Data Book

Please let me know if this answers your question.

Hi, John.

Thanks a lot for your quick answer.

It would be great to have those values in a readily available format from Autodesk (e.g. an Excel / csv file).

This would enable specialists from other countries to back-track and compare the various calculations.

Best regards,

Razvan
