I am trying to create a hot water heating system with baseboard units. I see the baseboard family in the Heater folder but it's electrical. Is there a different family to be used with hot water piping? I can't find one? Thanks
I was looking for the same thing except to be a hydronic unit heater (UH) and Google and Autodesk Seek didn't help.
I added pipe connectors to the electric UH that comes with Revit. You need to manually add all the parameter functionality etc. i haven't doesn't that yet (for my current project this is just and existing UH, that I don't do anything with).
If someone has an actually functional hydronic unit heater, please share. My favorite manufacturers don't have Revit models.
For your baseboard heaters you should be able to do the same thing (edit family, add pipe connectors). I haven't dug in too much yet to get the gpm, etc. included as parameters (as I said, for my current project the UH is just existing).
This really surprises me, most of our heating equipment is hydronic, not electric. Well, that way they force us to learn how to create families
