Equipment Tags - The question mark where there is no text is printing

I am used to seeing tags where if there is no info, there is a question mark but the "?" never plots out,  On the tag I am using the question mark is plotting.  Is there a way to edit this family so it does not plot.

If you can see the "?" then it will print - Revit doesn't really have a whole lot of non-printables, and virtually no way to make something that is visible but does not print. The "?" is reported if the Tag's Label is not finding any data to report, so in order to prevent this from printing, you have to "turn off" the visibility of that Label in some way.
