Jon,
I remember you back from the Accurender newsgroup.
I've been using Revit MEP for the past few years, and the architectural models I use as a base have typically been Revit too, but
you can import ACAD into Revit. From what I have read, the recommended procedure is to convert the ACAD 3D file into a Revit family,
otherwise it won't coordinate properly with Revit for creating section views.
Here's a link to show how the client would use your ACAD file:

Navisworks imports many different file formats and is designed to merge files cross platform, so that shouldn't be an issue.

John

Backgournd:
I've have a potential new employeer that wants the interior of a building
modeled for him so his MEP folks can bring the model into Revit MEP and then
take my building model and their MEP model and run collision analysis with
Navisworks. I've done tons of work in 3d in AutoCAD, but little in Revit and
nothing in Revit MEP and never used Navisworks.
Question:
So, can the Revit MEP consultants bring my 3d solid model into their
software from ACAD for use in creating their pipe, duct and other drawings?
Next, can Navisworks import in the Revit MEP model and the ACAD 3d solid
model and use them both for doing collision analysis?
Thanks,
-Jon
