Align the hatch with respect to element (Cable Tray) in Revit

We have created a cable tray layout drawing in Revit interface and want to see the surface hatch patern in the floor plan drawing. Here we can't change the orientation of this hatch pattern (created through filter option in VIsivility Graphics DB)  with the cable tray alignment. We have attached snap for your easy reference.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks & Regards

Unfortunately, this is not easily accomplished. You will have to create three Project Parameters (Yes/No, Instance) for the Cable Trays Category, named something like "CableTray_Diagonal_Up", "CableTray_Diagonal_Dn", and "CableTray_Horizontal". Then, you will have to create three additional View Filters (named just like the Project Parameters) and set the Filter Rules to:

#1: "CableTray_Diagonal_Up" "equals" "Yes"  -- Hatch Pattern: "Diagonal Up"

#2: "CableTray_Diagonal_Dn" "equals" "Yes"  -- Hatch Pattern: "Diagonal Down"

#3: "CableTray_Horizontal" "equals" "Yes"  ----- Hatch Pattern: "Diagonal Horzontal"

#4: [Leave Rules Blank]  ------------------------------ Hatch Pattern: "Diagonal Vertical"   (This one must be on bottom)

The value of the Project Parameters must be manually set for each instance of Cable Tray so, unfortunately,  there is no way to automate this.
