Master display setting for elements in linked views

typically we receive an architects model with their light fixtures in it. As design progresses, our engineers/lighting designers take ownership of lights and typically the architects do not continue updating the lights in their model (or if they do, its only the location, not type/etc.). So we are at a point where we want to turn off all light fixtures in the architectural link. It would be nice to be able to do this globally, not view by view. Even with linked view templates, this is a chore.  Why not have the 'Manage Links' dialog be also a master on/off location for linked elements?

My other CAD is a Cadillac and I like to Revit to the Max!
