Interference/Collision/Clash Detection better in Autocad MEP?

There is little that I like better in Autocad MEP than in Revit MEP. However, the collision detection in Autocad is pretty nice. If two objects are in the same place, the overlap turns red. Couldn't something like this be incorporated into Revit MEP? I realize that every diffuser placed on a ceiling and every wall penetration would be red unless a hole is cut into the architectural element, but at least it would be a way to discern the clashes that should be there from the ones that shouldn't. In Autocad MEP, the collision detection can be toggled on and off. That allows for it to be included or excluded from prints, and, means that it doesn't need to bog down/slow down the model. It is not fair that we need to buy Navisworks in order to have the tools to do decent coordination during the development of the MEP design. The steps associated with transferring the information into Navisworks eat up too much valuable time as well. REVIT needs this capability in order for engineers to develope coordinated designs that will facilitate quality construction and result in happy Owners!
