Hi,
I would like be able to add insulation to a cable tray.
We often have situations where cabletrays have to be insulated because of fireproofing for preservation of functional integrity of the cables.
Best regards,
M
You guys insulate cable tray? How does your end user get at their cable tray to do MACs? Or do you only insulate the sides/bottoms of the tray.
But I agree, that would be nice to have. And also, in the same vein, it would be nice to show "clearances" around cable tray. Certain codes/guidelines require a minimum of 12" clear above the cable tray. That would be nice to show as a 3d object that you could do collision detection with.
It will not preserve "functional integrity" if we would only insulate the sides/bottoms. The cabletray has to be fully insulated and isn't accessable after that. If you want to put in another cable, you'd have to reinsulate the whole cabletray again. So one has to be sure all cables are in before insulate.
