trim a beam

I am trying to trim a timber beam to a line but I can't seem to get it to work.

I have laid out a timber deck and I want to trim the deck boards to a curved line. Is it possible? I put a curved beam to trim to but it doesn't want to play ball.

Cheers

George

  1. If you want to trim a beam by an angled line you can use a Reference Plane and Cut
  2. If you want to cut the beam by a curved line , then make first a Family >Generic Model - Void and load it into the project . Select the beam and the Void Family and apply Cut
  3. If you want to make a deck cut by a curved line , then use Floor and with Edit Boundary , make the curved border shape...
