structural Column, beam and slab needs wrapping of wall

I have a wall with a different layers (like  plaster and one more layer of paint  - on Interior side. and a plaster and stone finish on exterior side )
Now i add a structural column. I wish to have my plaster and paint and stone(the interior and exterior finishes of the wall) around the column on the it's interior and exterior sides.
Each room may have different finishes.

same problem for the structural beam and slab


Please help

You need some thin wall elements with the finish materials, and draw them around the edges of the column.

thanx for your help, i tried the way u said but it will take a lot of time to cover all the structural items in the project inside and out side and there is some problems with the materials joints

i think revit has easiet way to do this.

Draw a thin layer around the column as suggested. Make a group of the thin walls and copy it for the same column size and configuration.

Take a look at the attached file (Revit 2015) and ask if anything you need explanations.

This can very quickly get very complicated with intersections and junctions. 

 

It would also need to be done on beams which is another layer of complexity.

 

Pretty mad that Revit doesn't allow you to give structural elements assemblies.

 

Anyone know of any developments on this since the original post?

it was solved on section, unlock fishing and drag it around structural beams

but i need it on top (plan view)  

any solutions
