revit architecture 2013 update release 3 will not install

"The Update Release could not be installed because the expected Autodesk product could not be located on your computer. Make sure that you are using hte correct Update Release for the product"...

Please see the attached screenshot.  I am running Revit Architecture 2013 64 bit, Update Release 2, as shown in "About Autodesk Revit 2013 window.  I downloaded the Revit Architecture 2013 Update Release 3, 64 bit, but get the "installation error" in the foreground of the screenshot.  

What am I missing?

The update release downloads are different for 32 and 64 bit.  Are you sure you got the correct one?

The easy way to be sure you get the right one is to initiate the update from the Communication Center (the satellite dish in the upper-right toolbar).

I know I have 64 bit.  The screenshot I included before says as much.  

Thank you for directing me to the satilite dish. I thought there should be somewhere I could automatically download updates...

...HOWEVER...

When I click on "Product Update Availiable", it automatically opens Internet Explorer (I have IE 10 installed, although it is not my default browser).  At the bottom of the window I get "Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls."  I click on "Allow blocked content" and then nothing happens... blank screen.

Ideas??

From the screenshot, you are not running Revit Architecture 2013, but Revit 2013 (from the Building Design Suite).

As Revit 2013 and Revit Architecture 2013 are very different products (Revit 2013 has the functionality of Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, and Revit MEP) there are separate updates.

Based on the screen capture you provided, you have Revit 2013 installed and not Revit Architecture 2013.  If this is the case, then it makes sense that the Revit Architecture 2013 UR3 install failed.  You should be able to successfully install Revit 2013 UR3, which is available from this page: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=DL21891257
