I made a new mass family of an ACIS. SAT file from a rhino export.
The family is fine, but when I try to place it in another project, I get the error message
"A serious error has occured. The current action has been cancelled. It is strongly recommended that you save your work in a new file before continuing."
Whilst loading the mass family into the project it warned that it was over 10MB and could cause performance issues.
Is this problem just that its too big?
Is there anything else I can do apart from simplifying the SAT model?
Suspect it is more to do with the geometry than its size. I've stuffed 90-100mb of ex-AutoCAD Architecture solids into an inplace family and had Revit swallow it without complaint (speed isn't great but needs must).
