With a work plane on the back of the model text, looking at

it from the front, rotate it.

I can't get that to work. it only rotates it in plan.

I want to rotate it 90 degrees in elevation

In the plan view, draw a reference plane where you want to

be looking down on that model text. Where the plane will be

on the back of that text. Select that new reference plane and

go to the instance properties and give that plane a "name".

Then go to an elevation view that is perpendicular to that

plane and put in your model text on the new plane. From

there you will be able to rotate it.
