masking region graphic issues

this is in regards to masking regions specifically transparent ones. see attached image

i have a masking region that when i open drafting / plan / elevation view it looks as it should. when i zoom in, white lines show up in the masking region which is a representation of where the lines were before i began to zoom. if i click on the masking region, then deselect, the graphis of the maskign region go back to looking as they should until i zoom again. see attached image

i have messed with graphic accelartion settings and it has no effect. has anyone had this happen?

I'm pretty sure that's a video card issue.  What version of Revit are you using?  Have you installed the latest updates (for Revit and your video card's drivers)?  Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration?

im in Revit Architecture Suite 2013, never updated to building design suite. figured i might as well wait for 2014 now.

i have  a NVIDIA Ge Forice 6150 SE nForce 430 graphics card which i just updated and it didnt help. i know this graphics card "has not been tested with Revit" which may be the issue.

i work with graphics acceleration off becaue if i have it on, i can see all the glass in a project when in 3D view, an issue i resolved on this forum in the past. i put acceration back on just to test with this issue and it didnt make a difference

I agree that it sounds like it could be a graphics card/driver issue. You might want to mess around with the last two or three different drivers from NVIDIA's site (newest is not always best) to see if they make a difference. Another reason you could see display anomalies is when elements are located really far away from Revit's internal origin, but that is less common now with the expanded acceptable range. What does the display look like in a print preview or in a DWF output?

the display looks as intended in all exported and or printed formats. it only looks "messed up" when zoming in a plan view, plan callout.... etc

Thanks for checking. If the output looks accurate, it would be another sign that it's likely card/driver related. I'd try out a few driver versions to see if any of them make a difference.
